'At first glance, this area of East London may not seem a worthy venue for a walk, but our route takes in no less than six parks. Inevitably, some walking along streets is involved, but these are pleasant enough, and there is a bonus by way of a medieval manor house, which still has its moat. The lakes in the parks attract large numbers of Canada Geese.'
