'To better understand the evolution of our towns and contribute towards their future management, Buckinghamshire County Council has completed a project surveying 30 historic settlements in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. These range from the larger towns of Amersham, Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Newport Pagnell to villages that once aspired to urban status such as Long Crendon, Denham and Hanslope. On most of our walks, unless it says otherwise in the programme, you should bring food and drink for lunch and snacks. If the leader has planned for the group to eat lunch in a pub this will be clearly stated in the programme.'
