Middlesbrough
The Category Middlesbrough is a subset of Teesside.
'Founded in Teesside some 40 years ago the walks are generally on the second Saturday of each month. There are usually two walks available one being longer than the other to suit differing abilities. Although the club name would point to us walking on the cumbrian fells we are more likely to walk on the North Yorks Moors as all walks are arrived at by car usually within an hour's drive of Teesside.'
'Linthorpe Cemetery is a burial ground but it also provides a large area of accessible semi-natural greenspace in a densely populated urban area ... This 52-acre (21 ha) site is the largest area of woodland in central Middlesbrough. In the southern section of the cemetery there is an almost complete canopy cover of mature trees. Most of these were planted in the nineteenth century.'
'List of suggested walking routes in Middlesbrough. All our parks are also suitable for walking ...'
'Uses several of the key sites along the banks of the River Tees, where nature is reclaiming land previously used by heavy industry. Passing through Portrack Marsh Nature Reserve, along historic footpaths, using the river crossing of the Tees Barrage and Newport Bridge, and with good links to other sites in the area, there is something for everyone along the route.'
'Waymarked path across the Tees Valley linking the Cleveland Way at Highcliff Nab with the Teesdale Way at Middlesbrough Dock. The link also forms part of the E2 European Route from Harwich to Stranraer.'

'Come and enjoy the changing faces of Middlesbrough with this walk, which takes in the iconic Transporter Bridge, clock tower and then on to Temenos (the world acclaimed sculpture by Anish Kapoor).'
