*Disabled Ramblers
'We have a small fleet of off-road loan scooters (currently Trampers) for those over 18 who do not have their own – or who cannot transport their own scooter to rambles. The scooters are brought to rambles with the battery fully charged and each scooter has stick/crutch holders and a bag on the back to carry your lunch and spare coat etc.'
'The Disabled Ramblers exists to help mobility-challenged people get back out into the countryside. Able-bodied helpers are welcome to support members and to help with loading scooters ... About 30 rambles are run each year across England and Wales – mostly from March to October ... Many of our ramble routes can be found on OutdoorActive.com. This app allows you to download our routes to your smart phone to follow in the outdoors.'
