Broadland
'Aylsham is at the heart of 2 long distance paths and a number of circular walks:
* The Marriotts Way starts (or finishes) in Aylsham and runs 26 miles to Norwich.
* The Weavers' Way which runs through the Broads to Aylsham and then north towards Cromer through rolling farmland and then onto the rugged North Norfolk Coast, linking eventually with the North Norfolk Coastpath and the Peddar's Way.
* The Bure Valley Footpath traces the Bure Valley River to Wroxham.'
'Broadland is one of the most beautiful districts in the country, made up of many contrasting landscapes. To the east lies part of the world famous Broads, Britain's finest wetland with some two hundred kilometres of navigable waterways. To the west you can explore the gentle rolling landscapes and many beautiful unspoilt villages, with picturesque flint cottages, churches and houses.'
'Aylsham is a beautiful market town with the streets still arranged on the original medieval layout.'
Four Walks produced by Norfolk Wildlife Trust and Upton Walking Group 'designed to help you explore the beautiful Bure Valley Living Landscape'.
'A purpose built footpath and cycle path runs alongside the entire nine mile length of the track from Aylsham to Wroxham taking cyclists and walkers through some stunningly beautiful English countryside. There are many nice paths which also spur from the our footpath and cycle way.'
'Developed since the 1990s on land owned by Norfolk County Council, the walks use Public Rights of Way and permissive paths. There are a variety of walks to suit all abilities, ranging from 1 mile to several miles, and this includes a number for wheelchair and mobility vehicles.'
'Follows the routes of two disused railway lines, running between the historic market town of Aylsham and the medieval city of Norwich.'
